Solbeam began in Kansas City in 2019, at a kitchen table covered in circuit boards and training logs. Erin Calloway, PT, DPT, had spent years as a physical therapist working with athletes and active adults. Ben Hollis was an engineer who had built electronics for industrial equipment and liked making things that last.

Erin kept hearing the same thing from the people she worked with: the recovery routine they followed at the clinic was hard to keep up once they went home. The at-home light devices they found were either flimsy, confusing, or built for a quick sale rather than years of use. Ben thought he could do better, and Erin knew exactly what a good device needed to do.

That is the idea behind Solbeam. Recovery happens on your schedule, most of it outside a clinic or gym, so the tools should be easy to use at home, every day. We design every panel, wand, wrap, and belt to be simple to set up, comfortable to use, and sturdy enough to become a regular part of your routine.

As we grew, we moved our headquarters and warehouse to Oak Grove, Missouri, just east of Kansas City. It gave us room to test, pack, and ship every order ourselves, and it kept us close to the community where Solbeam started.

Solbeam is still family-owned. The people who design our devices are the same people who answer support emails and walk new customers through their first session. That keeps us honest and keeps us close to how our products are actually used.

Today, Solbeam is trusted by athletes who want a dependable part of their recovery routine and by more than 40 clinics and spas that use our devices with their clients every day. Our goal has not changed since that kitchen table: recovery, engineered for home.
